It is currently used mostly for football matches, though it also has a baseball stadium, gymnasium, and temporary outdoor facilities which change on a seasonal basis. The main stadium, built in 1971, has a capacity of 27,100 and was home of South Korean premier football club Suwon Samsung Bluewings until 2002 when the new stadium was built.[1][2] The gymnasium, with a capacity of 5145, was built in 1963 and hosted the handball events of the 1988 Summer Olympics.[3]
